eMarine - Navigating the marine and coastal waters…
eMarine provides the user community with a set of bio-physical information of importance to conduct water quality assessment and resource monitoring in marine and coastal waters. Data from satellite-based radiometers in the visible and thermal range are processed according to most accurate algorithms to retrieve essential indicators for global diagnostic of the coastal state and analyses of changes in marine ecosystems. Scientific information is provided by way of geo-referenced maps created on-line through a user-friendly navigation and data interrogation tools.
e-Marine is global with particular focus on the Africa-Caribbean-Pacific (ACP) regions. Environmental data are supplemented with additional layers enabling the user to carry out assessments around marine protected areas and large marine ecosystems.
